The KTELEH
FOUNDATION
ABOUT US

The Kteleh Foundation, founded by Dr. Tarek Kteleh and Dr. Sarab Alfata, is a charitable organization which exists to support humanitarian causes and to provide access to higher education through loans and scholarships.
Both born and raised in Syria, and educated in the United States, Tarek and Sarab founded The Kteleh Foundation with hopes of giving back to humanity and those in need.
Dr. Kteleh's experience with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) has inspired him in creating The Giving Back Scholarship. In 2007, Dr. Kteleh started a scholarship program with SAMS, helping new doctors from Syria secure the finances to begin their careers in America. For the last 14 years, the SAMS Scholarship Program has provided approximately 30 graduates each year with several thousands of dollars in financial aid. Over time, as gracious recipients have repaid their interest-free loans, the program has become self-sustained and has demonstrated an even greater impact in the community.
What better way to give back than providing access to education? Applications for loans and scholarships from The Kteleh Foundation are open to anyone, especially those who are in need and have dreams for higher education.
